Sales Development Representative
The Green Jobs Board team is looking for a part-time Sales Development Representative to join our team to support lead generation and ad support.
We’re seeking a qualified Sales Development Representative (SDR) to find and screen potential companies and organizations who can benefit from having a shorter and longer term relationship with the green jobs board. As the first line of communication with prospects, ideal SDRs have a strong understanding of the sales process, excelling at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting our team up for success. You should be a quick learner with strong communication skills, and have the ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way. Every potential client is an opportunity for you to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels, and profitability. We are also looking for someone with a deep passion for the environment and who has a baseline understanding of the environmental/ sustainability field to be able to acquire and understand our potential clientele.
Objectives of this Role
Represent Green Jobs Board products and services, starting with a comprehensive understanding and leading to consumer research to identify how our solutions meet needs in the environmental field
Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding new potential sales outlets
Manage, maintain and track a growth ecosystem of interested prospects and engage sales executives for next steps
Identify best practices to refine the company’s lead generation playbook
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
Utilize CRM tools such as Click Up, Gmail Suite, Calendly, and LinkedIn to efficiently generate new sales opportunities.
Identify and assess prospect's specific needs, and recommend suitable products and services accordingly.
Cultivate enduring relationships with prospects to establish trust and qualify leads as valuable sales opportunities.
Proactively explore new business prospects within the environmental/climate field and social impact space.
Arrange and coordinate meetings or calls with prospective clients.
Deliver compelling sales pitches and presentations that effectively showcase the value of our products and services
Provide regular reports to the team, outlining weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales results.
Collaborate with and support other team members as necessary.
Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and take initiative in achieving sales objectives.
Display a strong willingness to learn and adapt to the dynamic environment of a startup company.
Compensation & Time Commitment
$20/hr
10 hrs/week
Required Skills and Qualifications
1-3 years of sales experience, with a history of exceeding lead targets
Some level of understanding/ knowledge of the environmental/ climate space to understand the work ecosystem of prospective clients
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, adept at effectively engaging through virtual meetings and email correspondence.
Proven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization
Proficient in time management, effectively prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
Possess project management skills, ensuring efficient coordination and execution of sales initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency with ClickUp or other CRM software
Prior experience as a sales development rep with a track record of achieving sales quotes
Ability to work in a start-up environment where you are able to initiate and take the lead on projects
Must be available during regular work hours to take on sales calls
